That sounds good, but I was wondering where the Buttermilk fields actually are, since I've not been there yet?
Thanks,
Mike

Subject: [Pickup] Turf, pickup schedule, protest, party Omnibus proposal
Hi everyone,
I went around and looked at the turf at Buttermilk & Stewart. Frozen hard just below the surface, slippery mud on top. Yuck! Unless we get enough snow to protect us and the ground from each other (we always hurt the ones we love), we probably shouldn't play right now.
Given the Cass Park manager's disappointing lack of trust in our judgement, I would propose that we move to Buttermilk for a while, when conditions permit playing at all.
Also, I propose we play Mondays & Wednesdays at 5PM and Saturdays at 1PM, so as not to conflict with Vitamin I practices, which I think are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
For This Saturday, I have a somewhat complicated contingency proposal, which will be fun no matter how it works out. Maybe Jeff can write a little softwear to guide us through it.
IF there is enough snow, then somebody other than me will send out an e-mail announcement to the list AND we will play at Buttermilk at noon, THEN those who want to stop this #*@! war will march to the commons around 2:15 or so.
BUT IF there is not enough snow, THEN anyone who wants to join an "ultimate players for peace" contingent can meet at our house, 302 Cascadilla St., at 1:30 PM. We can subsequently march to the commons ourselves OR join up with the Northside group.
AFTER the rally, you are all invited to our house for a little St.Patrick's day party - nothing fancy, a little beer, wine, soda, tea, cocoa. We are going to the Traonach & Karen Casey concert leaving before 7PM.
Any counterproposals?
Peace,
Todd
PS - I'll buy a growler for anyone who can get us indoor time
