Save your costumes! Save the date!  October 31st!

The Halloween Hat is no longer cancelled... just postponed to HALLOWEEN!

Alas, our Halloween Hat could not happen this weekend due to the rain,
but save your costumes and save the date. We're going to cram all our
fun-having into a couple hours of unbridaled play on Halloween this
Wednesday. Drinks and snacks (already purchased) will be provided by
IAUA as well as prizes for this and that.

Show up when you can. You do not have to show up at 4pm. We're going
to get things going at 4pm so that those who can get out of work early
can get their groove on. We'll use a format that lets people jump in
as soon as they arrive. Arrive soon. Arrive often. Wear your costume
out.

ps Bring the kids. This is a great pre-trick-or-treat opportunity and
a chance for the kids to see that we're all kids at heart and to learn
that they're growing up in a ridiculous town. If we have enough kids,
we'll try to play a family game as well.

It saddens me to report that the forecast has changed for the worse.
We're now up to 100% chance of rain and rising.  Moreover, we will
have enough accumulation tonight to make field conditions a concern.

The hat tournament is hereby cancelled.  It will not be on Sunday
either.  Of course, if there's a window of sunlight Saturday afternoon
and the cass fields do NOT have standing water, then you should play
in costume and have fun.

Sometime in November, if it looks like it'll be a sunny weekend, we
may spontaneously throw a Hallowsgiving tournament.   Stay tuned.
