We're on!   ...and we'll be playing under the LIGHTS at Union Fields, so we
are no longer in a race against the sunset.  I'll be setting up the field(s)
at 4pm.  Arrive whenever at your earliest convenience, and we'll place you
on a team.  The lights go on at 6pm.  We will play until people want to
stop.  This will not be rigidly organized.  We will have teams, but those
teams will evolve a bit as more people show.  If we get enough people, we'll
reorganize ourselves into 4 teams and play on two fields.  Come when you can
and have fun.

Costumes are highly encouraged.  In fact, it's free with costume (and those
on Float or Aye-Aye). For others, we're asking $5.  IAUA is supplying drinks
and snacks and stuff.

Location:
We will be on the far side of Union Fields.  Make the second left.  If you
reach Cass Park, pull into that parking lot, turn around, and head back
toward Ithaca but turn right immediately into the Union Field parking lot.

Tips:
 - dress warmly
 - bring a windbreaking layer to don quickly when you step off the field
 - bringing a warm beverage in a thermos might be nice

The Halloween Hat is no longer cancelled... just postponed to HALLOWEEN!

Alas, our Halloween Hat could not happen this weekend due to the rain,
but save your costumes and save the date. We're going to cram all our
fun-having into a couple hours of unbridaled play on Halloween this
Wednesday. Drinks and snacks (already purchased) will be provided by
IAUA as well as prizes for this and that.

Show up when you can. You do not have to show up at 4pm. We're going
to get things going at 4pm so that those who can get out of work early
can get their groove on. We'll use a format that lets people jump in

ps Bring the kids. This is a great pre-trick-or-treat opportunity and
a chance for the kids to see that we're all kids at heart and to learn
that they're growing up in a ridiculous town. If we have enough kids,
we'll try to play a family game as well.

It saddens me to report that the forecast has changed for the worse.
We're now up to 100% chance of rain and rising.  Moreover, we will
have enough accumulation tonight to make field conditions a concern.

The hat tournament is hereby cancelled.  It will not be on Sunday
either.  Of course, if there's a window of sunlight Saturday afternoon
and the cass fields do NOT have standing water, then you should play
in costume and have fun.

Sometime in November, if it looks like it'll be a sunny weekend, we
may spontaneously throw a Hallowsgiving tournament.   Stay tuned.
