hey everyone. I don't know if you guys would be interested but id like to see if we could get a team together and represent ithaca in the rochester winter ultimate league. there are two spots left and if we can raise the funds before anyone else sneaks in we've got a spot. check out the email I forwarded and let me know if you are interested. there are two people from grada looking for a team if we need them. All,

Currently there have been 8 teams who have registered for the 2008
GRADA winter league. This leaves only two possible slots available and
interest has been expressed from teams that are in the process of
forming. If you are interested in playing let me know soon.

GRADA 2008 Winter League Bottom line:

9 weeks of ultimate, $725/Team cost, Registration deadline 12/1/2006.
I encourage responses before 12/1 as we filled the 8 spots for last
year in less than a week.

This year we again have room for 10 BYO Teams. For consistency of format
and due to the availability of other indoor pick-up opportunities in
prior years ALL teams will be BYO. There is no draft team slotted for
this year.

Each team will be allowed one timeout per GAME. Timeouts will stop the clock.
Timeouts are limited to one minute each.

Same format as last year:
9 Weeks of play:
5 weeks round robin play
Reseed to 16 team playoff bracket with a seed stealing round instead of byes.

Games will be played Thursday night in Brighton and Irond.
Brighton Facility: Thursday nights 10:00-11:00 both fields.
Irond. Facility: Thursday nights 9:30-11:30 boardless field.

The (9) dates that we have scheduled are:
January 3rd
January 10th
January 17th
January 24th
January 31nd
February 7th
February 14th
February 21rd
February 28th

Brighton will have timers to keep accurate field time.
The score board will still be available in Irond.

I am also looking for field Marshall's. There is a $75 stipend
attached to the Field Marshall position. Responsibilities include: score
keeping, time keeping, and rule enforcement.
